IPAF Scissor and Boom Lift Training (MEWPS)

The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) approved course is recognised by CITB and HSE and satisfies the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).

An IPAF Certificate and Competency card are awarded following successful completion of the course. The course concentrates upon Health and Safety regulations, accident prevention & control and personnel protection.

Prices from £190 per person + VAT for one category (Scissor or Boom) £199 per person for both categories.

• Introduction to Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
• Identification of components
• Pre-use checks and Inspection
• Starting/Stopping the machine
• Overhead obstructions and ground conditions
• Achievement Testing
• Includes harness training

Scissor Lifts and Self Propelled Booms can be covered as single or both categories, with the option of holding the course at our location (dependant on facilities) or on site.

The course will enable trainees to become competent to drive the MEWP safely in the correct manner. Learning skills such as pre-inspection of equipment and correct operation of equipment will help avoid potential accident situations.
